The Relationship between the Section on Other-Power and the Section on the One Vehicle in the <i>Kyōgyōshinshō</i>: The Quotation of Yuanzhao in the Section on Other-Power

This paper clarifies one aspect of the relationship between section on Other-Power 他力 and One Vehicle in chapter practice （‘Gyō no maki’ 行巻） Kyōgyōshinshō 教行信証. Focusing quotation a passage by Yuanzhao 元照, this argues that Shinran offers from Buddhāvataṃsaka-sūtra, which is quoted both Vehicle, as “realization awakening” Pure Land. It also single path （ichidō 一道） based power Amida Nyorai’s Original Vow quoting Buddhāvataṃsaka-sūtra first then Vehicle.
